I did not play it long so I admit I did not give it a proper fair shot, but I absolutely abhored it. Inferior graphics? Fine. Lowered hit detection? Okay. Atrocious controls? I will not tolerate that. Now for all the praise the game has gotten I feel the need to give it another shot and get used to the controls but I could not believe how unintuitive they were. I picked up the sniper rifle as my secondary weapon to use only to discover that by default the ability to zoom in is on a section of keyboard my hands are nowhere near. This is not to mention that the AI (though nothing to complain about for the time the game was released) is not conducive to the open gameplay the game encourages. However, I will be giving it another shot. I checked out Deus Ex specifically because of this post.
